Creating event log notifications

1. Firstly, navigate to Event Log > Notifications Setup.


Click on the drop down box at the top of the screen and select the event category that you want to set notifications for.


Click Add New.



2. This pop up will appear with the Criteria, Recipient and Send Method.



3. From here select the Criteria (This will trigger the notification). 


In the top field choose your type of trigger e.g. to send a notification when an event takes place at a particular location, select Location.


You can also set a trigger for custom fields on the event log by using the custom field ticked and custom field drop down options.




4. Set up the Recipient (who receives the notification).


Individual - This option lets you select one staff member.

Group - This option lets you select a security group to send to.

Staff Link - This option sends notifications to the chosen staff link for whoever the learner(s) involved are.

Line Manager - This option sends notifications to the Line Manager of the staff member involved.



5. Finally, set up the Send Method (e.g. SMS, email or Scheduled send) and click save.


Scheduled Send Compiles all notifications for the day and sends them at a time of your choosing.


This will now appear on the Event Log Notifications page as shown below:


If needed, you can edit this setup by clicking the Notepad icon or delete it by clicking the Trashcan icon.
