In this guide we'll talk you through how to add commentary to an event log to update your safeguarding/behaviour forms and any other incidents you record using event logs.

TABLE OF CONTENTS

1 - Find the event log you want to comment on

1.1  To view an Event Log on Databridge, you have two options. Firstly, if you wish to view an individual’s Event Logs, it can be done on their profile. To do so, navigate to Student > Find Student > Select the Student from the list > View Student

1.2 Clicking View Student will open the student’s profile. From here, navigate to the students Event Log Tab

1.3 The Event Log Tab will show you all Event Logs attached to this student. At the top of the page, you have multiple filter options to narrow the list, such as Category, which will load all Events logged for this student under said category.

The icons next to an Event allow you to View Event, View Event (in new tab), and Delete Event

Simply click on one of the notepad icons to be taken through to the form.

2 - Add commentary

2.1 - Once you're on the event log that you want to add commentary to, scroll down until you get to the section labelled Commentary

2.2 Click the Add Commentary button

This will bring up a window where you can then type your comment into the textbox.

Once done, click Save.

Note: If the event you are commenting on has any other event logs linked to it, ticking the Add to Linked Events? checkbox will also save this comment against the linked events.

2.3 Your comment will now be saved on the event log, showing who uploaded the comment, what they commented, and when.
