Creating Baseline Assessment Templates

Baseline Assessment Templates are used to create premade Baseline Assessments, useful if you are creating Baseline Assessments on the same area multiple times.

When on the Baseline Manager screen, click on the File button in the top left, and select Baseline Templates from the dropdown.

This will take you to the Baseline Assessment Template screen. All existing templates will appear on the left. To add a new template, click on the blue '+ New Template' button. This will open a window where you can then give a title to the template.

Once you've given the new template a title, it will appear in the list on the left. To add areas to the template, click on the label for it in the list.

It will now appear to the right of the list and be ready to configure. To add the areas that you want to include in the template, click on the Add Item(s) button. This will open a window displaying all of the Curriculum Areas made available for Baseline Assessments on your system. You can either tick the box next to the curriculum area to include all subsequent skill areas, skills, targets and objectives attached to it, or click on the + symbol to expand the Curriculum Area and select individual parts of the Curriculum Area.

Info:
You can add as many curriculum areas to one template as is needed.

Once you've selected the relevant areas you want to include on the Baseline Template, click the blue Save button.

The areas you selected will now appear on screen. Next to each objective on the list there will be a trashcan icon, which you can use to remove any unwanted objectives.

Creating Baseline Assessments from the Template screen

You can create Baseline Assessments via the template screen by first selecting the Template and then clicking on the '+ Create Baselines' button.

This will open a window where you can then select a Batch ID if applicable, and specify the start and end date for the assessment.

Next, using the filters to narrow down your search if needed, you can select one or more learners to add to the assessment, and use the Assign to Staff field to set who will be taking the Assessment.

Info:
When creating a baseline assessment from the template screen you can only assign one staff member initially. Once the assessment has been created you can assign more staff to the assessment by finding and editing the assessment from the Baseline Manager screen.

Important:
Creating Baseline Assessments via the template screen will automatically set the staff member creating the assessment as the Baseline co-ordinator, but this can be changed when editing the assessment via the Baseline Manager screen.

Click the blue Save button to create the Baseline Assessments. They will now appear when on the Baseline Manager screen when you expand the relevant learner.
