Creating Baseline Scoring

Baseline scoring groups and options are used by the Baseline Assessments area, Goals and Targets to provide a competency scoring level. You can have multiple groups to have different scoring options and levels for different Curriculum Areas.

Information
After creating any scoring groups/options, you will need to set the relevant group on the Curriculum Area in the Target Cache screen. This is discussed in the next article

Locating Scoring Groups / Options

Navigate to Administration -> Standard Values in the left hand navigation menu, under the Education Management Values area, find and click on Integrated Baseline Scoring.

If you have entered any already, the groups will be displayed and you can click on the + icon to see the scores/options added to them.

Adding Scoring Groups

A Scoring Group is simply a named placeholder for a list of options/scores to set on Baseline Assessments, Targets and Goals. To add a new Group, click on the Add Group button at the bottom of the modal.

Enter a simple title for the group e.g. Baseline, Support, Scoring etc and click Save. The group title will now appear in the list.

Adding Scoring Options

A Scoring Option is a title with a numeric score attached to it, for example Verbal Prompt - 2. These are used to record where on a scale a Target/Goal can be done from a competency level (or other level you wish to measure).

To add a scoring option, you need to attach it to a group. Next to the relevant group, click on the pencil icon and select Add New Score. This will ask you to enter the following information:

FieldDescription
Option Name

The title/label for the scoring option e.g. Verbal Prompt

Status

This is used by the Baseline Assessments area to indicate whether this particular score means they can do this i.e. Show it as achieved or not

Numerical Value

The number for the score e.g. 2. No two scores in a group should have the same number

Legend ColourYou can colour code the score here which is used on some reporting screens

When you are finished, click the Save button and the Score will appears under the relevant Group. You can continue to add more scores as required.
