Qualification Setup


1. Navigate to Administration > Standard Values.




2. Using the Student Values tab, find and select Qualifications.




3. All student qualifications that are already on your system will appear here. 


Select Add From LARS to upload a new qualification to the system.




4. First, find the qualification you want to upload, the most reliable way to do this is to type the qualification reference into the Learning Aim Ref text box.


Select Search.




5. The qualification will appear below, click the symbol to add this to the system.




6. As you can see from the screenshot below, this has now been added to student qualifications and you can close this tab.



Qualification Units Setup


1. Navigate to Administration > Standard Values.




2. In the Student Values tab, click Qualifications.




3. Click the Notepad icon on the qualification you want to add units to.




4. Click the Units tab




5. Before you add a unit, you must first create a Unit Group by which a set of units will apply to. 


Select Add Unit Group.



6. Enter the Group Name into the textbox.


Click Save when finished.




7. Now select Add Unit.




8. Fill in all necessary fields.


You can find short descriptions for each field below:

-Group: The unit group it applies to.

-Unit Name: The title of the unit.

-Mandatory Unit: Specify if the unit is mandatory.

-Value: Cost value of the unit.

-Credits: Number of credits the unit is worth.

-Product Code: Record the product code where applicable.

-GLH: Guided Learning Hours for the unit.

-Unit Reference: Record the reference where applicable.

-Sector: Record the sector where applicable.

-Grades: Record multiple grades that apply to the unit (e.g., A, B, C, Pass, Merit, etc.).


When finished click Save.
