Logging Staff Absences

In this guide we will look at how to log an absence for a Staff member on Databridge.


1. First navigate to Staff > Absence Manager 


2. Click File > Add Absence


3. Using the staff list on the right, click the checkbox for the staff you are adding an absence for. If you have multiple staff with the same absence details, they can all be selected here.


Next, fill in the absence details within the Absence Header Details box. 


The dropdown options here are customisable within Standard Values > Staff Values


4. Within the Notifications box, use the different options to select who will be notified of the absence. 

The Notify Other Staff option will notify staff that are manually selected via Absence Manager > Alerts > Notifications.


5. The Absence Days box is used to further specify the absence days. For example if you wanted add a week of absence, but the member of staff does not work on Tuesdays, clicking the Add Days button allows you to manually select which days within the timeframe the absences apply for. 


Clicking Use Shift Patterns can be used if the member of staff has already be assigned a shift pattern and will use this to perform the same function, by automatically not including days that they are not scheduled to work. 


6. You can also upload a document related to the absence by clicking Upload Document and when finished, click Save Attendance.
