Holiday Dates are used in Databridge in both Timetabling and Reporting.
They are used to indicate all the days that the School/College is not open.
Important If you are creating Sessions in Databridge, you should have at least one set of holiday dates entered first
Accessing Holiday Dates
To access Holiday Dates, you need to first navigate to Administration -> Standard Values.
Within the Timetable Management Values section, click Holiday Dates.
On the left hand side of the screen, you will see a list of Holiday Sets that already exist in Databridge. If you see none, you have not yet entered any.
Editing a Holiday Set
To edit a Holiday Set, click on the notepad icon. If you are adding a new one, use the 'Add Holiday Set' button.
This will then display the Scale details on the right hand side. From there, you set the fields as required:
Field | Description |
---|---|
Name | The label for the holiday set. These are commonly labelled with the academic year dates e.g. Academic Year 2020/2021 |
Default Set | Tick to indicate this is the default holiday set used across the system. This set will be automatically selected in Holiday Set dropdowns. |
Important Remember to change the Default Set with each Academic Year so the correct Holiday Set for the year is automatically selected
Editing Holiday Set Dates
Underneath the Holiday Set fields, you will see a list of Dates included in that Holiday Set. On a new Holiday Set there will be no dates included by default.
To add dates to the Holiday Set, you have two options:
- Add Date - Add a single date, for example a bank holiday, a training day, or any another single day Learners will not attend
- Add Dates in Range - Set a Start and End date, then any dates both including these and in between will get added to the Holiday Set. This is used more commonly for half-terms, breaks and summer holidays.
Important Any date you enter is skipped in Session creation and reports if this holiday set is selected, so do not enter any dates you have lessons or enter day attendance
Deleting Holiday Sets
To delete a Holiday Set or a date within it, click on the trashcan icon.
