Learning Styles are used to give your staff a better indication of how a learner learns. In order to configure Learning Styles on your system you will need the permission 'Admin - Learning Styles Management'. In order to view the Learning Styles page for a learner, you will need the permission 'Student - Learning Styles.

Information:
There is a policy that you can enable/disable that will automatically bring up the Learning Styles for all learners within a session when accessing a Session Plan. To find this policy, go to Administration > Policies > Browser Policies and you'll find the checkbox marked 'Popup Learning Styles on Sessions'.

Configuring Learning Style Categories

To configure the different categories of Learning Styles on your system, go to Administration > Standard Values > Education Management Values > 'Learning Style Categories'.

This will open up a window where you can then see all existing Learning Style Categories listed, as well as the option to add new ones. To add a new Learning Style Category, click on the blue Add Value button and input the title in the textbox that appears, and then click the green Save button.

The new category will now be available when adding a new Learning Style.

Configuring Learning Styles

To configure Learning Styles on your system, go to Administration > Standard Values > Education Management Values > 'Learning Style Management'.

This will take you to the Learning Styles Management page where you can view all existing Learning Styles, add new ones, and configure the settings for them.

To add a new Learning Style, click on 'Add Entry' on the right side of the screen. This will bring up a window where you can then input the statement for the Learning Style in the Statement field, and then specify the settings as well as the category for this learning style.

Note:
The statement field when setting up Learning Styles works as a prefix. To work with the structure of Learning Styles, the statement could be something like "does not like".
This way, when you go to apply the Learning Styles to a learner record, the statement would read "(Learner's Name) does not like ..." followed by the details you input here

There are four settings options for Learning Styles:
