The Login Report function provides information about users' attempts to log in to Databridge. It shows timestamped entries detailing which users (staff) have accessed Databridge and if they were successful or not. If they were successful it also shows a timestamp of when they logged out.
Using the Login Report
To access the login report function go to the Administration module and choose Login Report. This will give some options on filtering the results.
Firstly you can specify the Site to view - if you have more than one set up. Choosing the Range will enable you to specify preset date ranges for the report. The preset ranges are as follows.
Option | Description |
---|---|
This Week | Specifies the starting date as Monday of the current week and the end date as Monday of the next week |
This Month | Specifies the date range as the first to last day of the current month |
This Year | Specifies the start date as the first day of the current academic year up to today's date |
Tip You can specify your own start and end dates by using the date pickers for Start Date and End Date.
The option Only Show Last Login will only include the most recent login for each staff member in the results table. And you can add information about the user's computer (browser, OS etc) to the results by ticking the Show User Agent option.
Before running the report you can Add Filter, to filter the report output by Staff Name, Department and/or Job Role. In this way you can reduce the number of results to check a single user's access for example.
To produce the report data based on your configured options you choose Run Report and the set of results will be shown in the right hand panel. The table has the following columns:
Option | Description |
---|---|
Staff | Name of the staff member logging on |
Logged On | Timestamp for the staff logon |
Logged Off | Timestamp for the staff logoff |
Version | Databridge version |
SPA | Was this the SPA version of Databridge? |
Failed | Indicates a failed logon attempt |
Failed User | User information for the failed login attempt |
You can export these results, if you wish, to an Excel readable file by clicking Export Report.
Information The No Logins option shows a list of users who have never logged into Databridge.
