The Confidential tab for a staff member holds a variety of information relating to the staff member. There are sections in this tab referring to personal information, work related information, DBS check related information and also information relating to overseas checks.




Personal Information


There are a number of items of personal information you can record under the Confidential tab.


Confidential Notes - At any free text by way of notes relating to the staff member

Maiden Name - The staff member's maiden name if relevant

Sexual Orientation - A description of the staff member's sexual orientation. The drop down list is configured in Standard Values under General Values

Gender Identity -  A description of the staff member's Gender Identity. The drop down list is configured in Standard Values under Learner Values.

ISA Number - The staff member's Independent Schools Association number




Work Related Checks


There are a number of fields relating to employment checks under the Confidential tab. Each one has a Date and a Seen By field so you can record who has verified the information and on what date.


  • Child Barred (Only)
  • CV
  • GDPR Consent
  • Medical Fitness information
  • Online Checks
  • POVA check
  • List 99 check - currently called the Children's Barred List
  • Employment References
  • Personal Reference
  • Reference Notes
  • Prohibition From Teaching check
  • Section 128 Prohibition check


There are a group of fields relating to a staff member's Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check under the Confidential tab. Each one has Date and a Seen By field so you can record who has verified the information and on what date.


For the following three items configuration is required in Standard Values under the Staff Values section to add choices to the drop down lists for each. 


  • DBS Form Type - Which type of form, either online or paper
  • DBS Category - Category of DBS check
  • DBS Registered Body - A list of bodies


Information
DBS history can be seen by clicking on the 'DBS History' button, entries will be added to this table when altering the following fields: 
- Form Reference
- Form Returned
- DBS Sent
- Seen By	
The same changes apply when altering fields from SCR(Single Central Records) 


There are also a number of entries to allow you to record up to 5 items that were provided as Evidence of Identity, along with the Date received and person who has confirmed the the information (Seen By).


Finally there are some fields to allow you to records any Overseas Checks that are required or have been provided.
