School Census Error Codes

• Error 262 - If school governance is recorded as an academy (CA) then school type must also be recorded as an academy with code 49
• Error 1500, 1510, 1520, 1530, 1540, 1550 - UPN invalid
• Error 1570 - Unique learner number must be provided for pupils aged 14 and over on census day
• Error 1770 - Youth support services agreement is missing or invalid
• Error 1840 - Language is missing or invalid value
• Error 1856 - Service children in education indicator missing or invalid
• Error 1871 - Post looked after arrangements indicator is missing or invalid
• Error 1970 - Pupil boarder indicator is invalid
• Error 2000 - Pupil actual year group is missing or invalid
• Error 2120 - SEN provision is missing or invalid
• Error 2180 - Pupil in special school with no SEN
• Error 2500 - For pupil on roll the attendance sessions possible must be greater than or equal to zero.

Below are some common School Census errors, and the related fields you may need to adjust to resolve the error. 

Error 262 - If school governance is recorded as an academy (CA) then school type must also be recorded as an academy with code 49

• School Type field, found in Reporting > Reports Menu > School Census Settings.

Error 1500, 1510, 1520, 1530, 1540, 1550 - UPN invalid

• Unique Pupil Number field on Student record > Personal tab. Ensure it is not missing or entered incorrectly. 

Error 1570 - Unique learner number must be provided for pupils aged 14 and over on census day

• Unique Learner No field on Student record > Personal tab.

Error 1770 - Youth support services agreement is missing or invalid

• Connexions Agreement (YSSA) field on Student record > Internal tab > Site Information section > Edit the site record. 

Error 1840 - Language is missing or invalid value

• First Language field on Student record > Personal tab.

Error 1856 - Service children in education indicator missing or invalid

• Service Child field on Student record > Internal tab > Site Information section > Edit the site record.

Error 1871 - Post looked after arrangements indicator is missing or invalid

• Post looked after arrangements (PLAA) field on Student record > Internal tab > Site Information section > Edit the site record.

Error 1970 - Pupil boarder indicator is invalid

• Boarder Status field on Student record > Internal tab > Site Information section > Edit the site record. 

Error 2000 - Pupil actual year group is missing or invalid

• NC Year Group field on Student record > Internal tab > Site Information section > Edit the site record. 

Error 2120 - SEN provision is missing or invalid

• SEN Provision Type field on Student record > Disability tab

Error 2180 - Pupil in special school with no SEN

•  Add Sen button on Student record > Disability tab

Error 2500 - For pupil on roll the attendance sessions possible must be greater than or equal to zero.

• Ensure the Dept. of Ed. Status field has been filled in for each Attendance Status in Standard Values > Student Values > Attendance Status
