You are now able to link Assistive Technology devices to learner records.

Configuring Assistive Technology

To set up Assistive Technology in Databridge, you navigate to Administration > Standard Values > Student Values > Assistive Technologies (BETA). 

This will open a window where you can use the Add Item button to add any/all Assistive Technologies you wish to Databridge.  

The new window gives you the option to add:

Assistance: The device itself.

Description: A description of the device and what it is used for. 

Add Relevant File(s): You can use this feature to upload photos/videos of the Assistive Technology. 

To edit an already saved Assistance simply select the Notepad icon. 

To delete an already saved Assistance simply select the Trash Can icon. 

Applying AT to a Learner Record

To add/view Assistive Technology for a Learner, firstly locate the Learners Profile, then select Assistive Technology from the navigation menu on the right. 

This window will display any Assistive Technologies already assigned to the student. Using the + symbol will display further details on the Technology.

The Media icon will display any photos/videos attached to this Technology (photos will load automatically in this window. If a video is attached, you will need to click on the video camera icon to open the video for viewing). 

The Notepad icon will allow you to make any edits to the Technology added. 

The Trash Can icon will delete the Technology from this Learner. 

To add new Technologies, select Add Assistive Technologies, which will open a new window. 

Using the Technology dropdown, you can select from the Assistive Technology you added in Standard values. 

You can also use the Notes field to add any details specific to this Student. 

The View Media Button will open a window displaying any images/videos that are attached to the Technology (photos will load automatically in this window. If a video is attached, you will need to click on the video camera icon to open the video for viewing). 

Viewing Assistive Technology on Session Plans

When opening a Session Plan a window will now appear displaying Learning Styles. 

This includes a tab for Assistive Technologies (BETA). Selecting this tab will display the students in the session and using the + icon will display more information on whether they use any Assistive Technologies. 

If a student uses an Assistive Technology, this will display here along with any notes made for this student when adding the Technology to their Profile.
