Performance Management Tab

The Performance Management tab for a Staff member holds their performance reviews and KPIs (Key Performance Indicators).


If the Staff member has had reviews previously these will be shown in the table under this tab. The table has a number of columns showing summary information about the reviews.


  • Employee - the staff member who was reviewed
  • Line Manager - the staff member's line manager
  • Review Date - the date the review was carried out
  • Last Viewed - when the review was last viewed
  • Staff Signed - has the staff signed the review?
  • Line Manager Signed - has the line manager signed the review?


Clicking the pencil icon gives you the opportunity to View or Delete the KPI.




Setting up the KPI Options


Before adding a review there needs to be some system set up. This is done in Standard Values. Under the Staff Values section the following fields should be configured. These values are then available when KPIs are created, reviewed and scored.


  • KPI Completion Status Values - the list of values to be used for a KPI status
  • KPI Key Success Areas - a list of KPIs that can be assigned to an employee
  • KPI Self Assessment Grading - a list of marks/grades employee can give themselves for KPIs





Adding KPIs for a Staff Member


To add a new KPI for the Staff member click Add new KPI


You are presented with a number of sections to complete. Some are for the Staff member to complete and some for their line manager to fill in.


If accessing KPI from the Performance Monitoring tab the Employee field should be filled in already with the Staff member's name from the record you are viewing. Confirm the Date of this Review field is correct for when the review happened. Finally complete the Line Manager field from the dropdown list.


Key Performance Indicator:

Click Add Item to add a new KPI and complete the fields

  • Key Objective (Intent) - describe the objective
  • Action (Implementation) - add an action related to the objective
  • Key Success (Impact) - describe the aim of the KPI



KPI - To be completed by employee:

Click Add Item to add a new KPI and complete the fields

  • Key Success Area - the KPI name from the dropdown
  • Self-Assessment Notes - any notes the Staff member wants to add
  • Self-Assessment Grading - Staff member gives a grade of their performance



KPI - to be completed by manager:

Click Add Item to add a new KPI and complete the fields

  • Key Success Area - the KPI name from the dropdown
  • Manager Assessment Notes - any notes the manager wants to add
  • Manager Assessment Grading - the manager gives a grade of the staff member's performance


Key Performance Indicator RAG Status Table

Click Add Item to add a new KPI and complete the fields

  • Key Success Area - the KPI name from the dropdown
  • RAG rating - Choose a status from Red, Amber or Green
  • Comments - add any comments from the line manager



Sickness and Absence Monitoring

Provides a RAG status for three monitoring areas. The line manager chooses a RAG value to record sickness occurrences in the review period based on the threshold values against each monitor option.

  • Occurrences of Sickness Recorded in The Last 12 Months
  • Days Sickness Recorded in The Last 12 Months
  • Bradford Factor



CPD Profile Monitoring

Provides a RAG status for three monitoring areas. The line manager chooses a RAG value to record the progress of CPD in the review period based on the threshold values against each monitor option.

  • Staff Pen Profile up-to-date
  • CPD record up to date (in last 12 months)
  • Mandatory training up to date


Add comments for each monitoring area as necessary.



General Health, Safety, Wellbeing, Training and Employee Driven Topics

Click Add Item to add a new KPI and complete the fields

  • What Training is Required - detail any training identified as being required
  • Actions / What Support is Needed - detail any support needed or action required
  • Actioned to - who has the action for the training?
  • Completion status - choose a status from the dropdown


Comments

Add any comments in the relevant text box. There is a box for Employee Comments and Line Manager Comments accordingly.


Signature

Both the employee (Staff member) and their line manager will electronically sign the review as accepted and correct.


Ensure that you Save the review.
