The Destination tab is used to record any Employment, Social, Vocational or other destinations intended for the Learner.
You can also use this tab to keep a track of any offers the Learner may receive both during and after their time with your organisation, should you wish to track this. This could be anything from an offer of employment, a course offer at this or another college to maybe an offer of voluntary work.
Important Destinations added here feed onto the ILR Manager screen so you should ensure if they are relevant to the ILR to specify the correct Outcome Type and Code.
TABLE OF CONTENTS
Main Details
The Main Details section details the reason that the Learner left the college. You can also add some additional details in the Details text box, by way of explanation for leaving.
The Reason Left dropdown list allows you to select a reason that the Learner left the college. This dropdown list is to add your own description and these are configured in Administration -> Standard Values -> Learner Values panel, on the option Leaving Reasons. Click Add Reason to configure your own reason types.
Adding and Viewing Destinations
The Destinations list shows details of the Learner's post college destination(s) and the related standard outcome descriptions for inclusion in the Individual Learning Record (ILR). For example the Learner may be taking a year out before going to university - the ILR type for this would be 'Gap Year' and the ILR Code would be 'Gap year before starting HE'.
To add a new destination, click on Add Post College Destination, this will present you with a series of fields to add information relating to the destination:
Field | Description |
---|---|
Destination Type | The destination (outcome) type, these can be configured in Standard Values and have ILR Codes preassigned to them to have the ILR related fields completed automatically. |

Start Date | The start date of the post college destination |

From the destinations list you can click the bin icon to delete the record, or click the notepad icon to view the details of the destination.
You can also Track Destinations by viewing the details of an existing one and clicking on the Tracking tab. This lets you keep a chronological update of if the Destination is still the same or may have changed.
Offer Tracking
Here you can keep track of any offers the Learner has received whether current or in the future. First you need to configure in Databridge the types of offer and the possible results of the offer.
This is done in Administration -> Standard Values. Under Learner Values, go to the Offer Tracking Types and Offer Tracking Results options accordingly.
So for example the Offer Result might be 'Offer Received', and the Offer Type might be 'Conditional Offer' for a university place.
To add a new Offer, click the Add Offer button underneath the list of Offers and enter the details accordingly.
Information You need to configure the Offer Tracking Results list first in order to populate the Result dropdown used when adding the Offer Type
Bulk Adding Destinations
You can set the destinations for more than one learner at a time by going Learners > Find Learner, and then clicking on File at the top of the Filters column. You will need the permission 'Student - Bulk Edit' in order for the bulk option to appear in the File dropdown.
Once clicked, a window similar to that which appears when adding Destinations for an individual learner appears (See the chapter 'Adding and Viewing Destinations' within this article for more information on the individual fields).
Fill out the fields as you would when adding a destination for an individual, and then at the bottom of the window you'll see a section labelled 'Select Learners'. Use the checkbox next to each learner to select which learners you wish to add the destination information to, or if you wish to select all learners, click on the pencil icon in the top right of this section to do so.
Once you've input the Destination information and selected all of the learners you wish to add this for, click the green Save Destinations button.
The entries will now appear on the Destinations tab for each learner selected.
